Mini Personal Pinterest Challenge Progress Update

I hope all of you mothers out there had a wonderful Mother's Day and those of you like me, who have lost your mother, were able to enjoy your day focusing on happy memories.  My Mini Personal Pinterest Challenge (MPPC) from last Friday's post was a success in trying to keep me distracted.

I'm so glad I only chose three projects to work on; five would have been way too much pressure and would have taken the fun out of the challenge.  I took pictures as I worked on the projects/recipe I set out to complete.  What I didn't plan on was the chalkboard paint needing a few days to cure before I could write on them.  Or the box I painted for my journal project needing a day or so to dry.  So, it will be a couple of days before I can complete them, but they will get finished!  I swear!  Also, there are too many pictures to put in one post so I will probably break it up into a few different posts this week.

BONUS:  Since I can't update you on my other projects quite yet, I'll give you a quick run down on a bonus I decided to sneak into the challenge.  I have had my eye on a recipe for Blue Cheese Bacon Dip for a while.  In fact, Pinterest says I pinned the recipe 17 weeks ago.  That's a lot of time to be drooling, right?  Well, here goes...

Ok, the recipe was originally posted by Josie at Pink Parsley.  If you haven't ever checked out his site, you should.   It has a lot of really great recipes.   Now, back on track, Josie gives original credit to Southern Living magazine from 2004.  How have I not known about this recipe for 8 years?!  This recipe was simple AND delicious, two of my favorite things!  The only thing I would do differently would be to add some extra blue cheese crumbles so it's extra cheesier.

This is the dip in a small, 6x8ish, Pyrex dish as it goes in the oven.

It was so good you will want your own dish so
you can double dip your  crackers, chips, fruit, etc.
You'll most certainly want to.
