Seriously? Wedding Cake Vodka?  Why on earth would someone want to buy such a thing?  Because it was on sale, that's why!  Yes, I did buy a bottle and I'm excited to try it.

Since I was introduced to Whipped Cream Vodka, a gift from tiny baby Jesus, I decided to expand my home bar little by little, a bottle at a time, to include a variety of these odd flavored liquors.  So, how could I pass up a bottle of this interesting stuff, Pearl Wedding Cake,  when it was on sale?!  I couldn't!  That's the correct answer.

The liquor store had a suggestion card that said this was good mixed with pineapple juice.  That sounded kind of tasty.  The Pearl website has 13 different recipes, some look better than others.  I have the makings of the Drunk Uncle (2oz wedding cake vodka and 4oz root beer garnished with a cherry) at home so that may be the first attempt. I'll let you know what I think when I try a few different recipes.

But that will have to wait for this weekend because I have a date with my one year old nephew this evening and there will only be milk, water or juice served up with a big ol' dose of wacky-silly-rule-breaking-auntie-fun!  What mischief are you up to this week?

  2. I have a few drunk uncles... I refer to them as my drunkles & I believe their choice of beverage is Keystone light or Milwaukee's Best .....not as classy as Wedding Cake Vodka!

  3. Visiting from SITS! I've heard of this! Wonder how it tastes??? I'm having a hard time imagining it but probably similar to a vanilla vodka?
