This week's confessions are dedicated to things I'll miss about Sis and her family living with me since they're officially in their new place down the road today!

Sis and her family. They relocated from Seattle to Tulsa at the end of March. They've been staying with me while they found a place and could get settled. They recently rented a duplex just down the road so they won't be too far away at all.
** Waking up to see this little face in the morning

He really does wake up this happy 99.9% of the time. I plan on kidnapping him on a regular basis.
** The wonderful meals Chris would make for dinner when we got home from work.

Delicious!
I mean, really, how can you not love this?!
** Cocktails w/ Sis just because.

** Making faces at Grant across the table during dinner to get him to giggle. This is one of my favorite videos of him as his parents get him laughing.
** Watching trashy reality TV w/ sis in our jammies while eating some Blue Bell Key Lime ice cream.
(Why on earth would there be a picture for this bullet point??
Some things, like us in our jammies eating ice cream,
just don't need to be posted for God and everybody to see.)
** Chris watering the veggie plants.
** Grant helping in the kitchen.

He's really good at getting his own food. Last night, he picked out a pouch of food, handed it to me, did the sign for "please," and then looked up at me. It was so cute to see a one year old choose his dinner and then politely ask you to open it for them.
Don't get me wrong, I'm just as excited as they are for them to have their own space because I'm excited to get my house back. Not because I want them out, but because I miss the single life of not worrying if a baby is sleeping, being able to shower with the bathroom door open so it doesn't get so hot in the bathroom, entertaining more often, etc.
Shhhh, don't tell, but I may do a little happy dance similar to Grant's...
What are you confessing this week?

The bed head is great!! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm obsessed with his hair! I'm glad I'm not the only one who appreciates it. :)
DeleteHaha he's such a little cutie!
ReplyDeleteI know, right? I mean, thanks, but I'm kind of partial to the lil dude.
Deleteshowering with the bathroom door open is sooo the best. It's such an underrated privilege. I love it.
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU! I mean really. Yesterday I showered with the door open and my iPod on full blast while dancing and singing at the top of my lungs. It doesn't get much better than that.
DeleteI am assuming the'showering with the bathroom door open' and 'entertaining' are simultaneous, right?
ReplyDeleteBahahaha, no, Auntie P, I try to do that on my own. Although, with the music on high and my singing/dancing in there, I'm sure it would be MOST entertaining.
