Blogging for a Cause

I don't know about you all, but I love me some funny/silly blog posts.  I've been known to be a bit sassy and pointless from time to time (ie: three posts, and counting, on bad ass tea towels?).  Silly is how I roll.  That being said, I enjoy a touching blog post for a good cause.  Two posts, by two of my favorite bloggers, rang that bell recently.

First, let me introduce you to Leah
 from Lovely Life of Leah.

Leah is just what she advertises...lovely.  She blogs about a wide variety of topics including her travels, a recent fitness challenge she started, her adorable son and life in general.  
Anywho, the post that grabbed my heart was the one highlighting Bands for Arms.  This is an organization that makes and sells bracelets made from military uniforms.  The money raised goes to support military organizations and charities.

The second post that grabbed my heart was Melissa from Where Your Treasure Is.

First of all, how adorable is her little girl?  Melissa is a super sweet twenty-something wife and mother who blogs about her life as a mom, her family's recent decision to start the fostering/adoption process, moving, and all the adventures her active life leads her through.  

Melissa's post this morning, Running for a Cause, was so special.  It's about how blessed she feels and how excited she is to join the Running for Jared team to help raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.  

Both of these women not only have huge hearts, but they very well written blogs too.  Must reads!  You should take a moment to check them out.
