During the month of May I did a Pinterest challenge.  June I did a recipe challenge. What does July have in store?  Bad Ass Tea Towels, of course!

In case you were wondering, there is such a thing as a bad ass tea towel. We covered that here and here.  I'm drawn to the contrast between dainty flour sack tea towels and tattoo designs.

Here are two that are in the
previously mentioned posts.

So, during the month of July I'm going to see just how many of these creative little gems from Jesus I can finish.

I have had so many of these patterns pinned on my Stitchery board on Pinterest for months so it's about darn time I put them to use and see what creative ways I can bring them to life on the towels.

I'm currently working on these two patterns:

If you'd like to join in, you can find the flour sack towels at Walmart for $5.50 for 5 of them.  Next, simply wash and press them.  After that, use a washable quilting pen to trace on whatever design you'd like.  Your towels don't have to be as "edgy" as mine.  There are plenty of ideas on my "Stichery" board on Pinterest.

I'll keep you all posted as I finish each towel.  Bring on the month of July!  If you click on the "Stitchery" label at the top of the page, you'll be able to catch up on what I've posted as I make them

PS:  THIS IS MY 100th POST!

  3. Jen,

As you're doing this I want you to think about what you would charge to make me some handkerchiefs like this; possibly with TU or Royals art or other cool imagery.

    1. I'm assuming by the teams/schools this is Jimmy? I've never worked with handkerchief material but I'd be happy to give it a try. Let me see what I can work up.

  5. I just love the colors on these. They drew me right in. I wouldn't likely want a skull tea towel, but I sure do love the art of them. Thanks for the heads up on Walmart selling the towels. That's good to know!
