Look at these two good looking sweet guys.
Who wouldn't want a date, a play date that is, with these two?
Oh, and their moms.
On the left is Suzanne (you can find her at Already Right Where I Belong), her son B Jr., my nephew Grant and my Sis Bethany.

B Jr and Grant have had a play date in the past, but this time I initiated because I wanted to play too this go around.  I mean really, who wouldn't want to hang with this gang?  Seriously.

We met up at the Oklahoma Aquarium yesterday morning and we had a blast.
Here are the pictures to prove it.
We started out with the boys feeding the shrimp.
Grant wanted no part of the touching pools.
B Jr on the other hand loved them.
Grant would look, but his hand wasn't
going anywhere near that water.
B Jr wanted to be right up against the glass,
Grant not so much.
Then there was the sting ray incident. The boys were on the bench up
against the glass when a sting ray charged the glass causing Grant to come
UNGLUED. I wish I could have gotten a picture of his terrified little face.
After that, he was not enjoying anything big.
He was even hesitant of the little fish.
It's ok, I didn't mind the snuggles one bit.
Next, we headed to the shark tunnel.
Again, not a fan.  Again, more snuggles.
But after skipping thru the tunnel and singing, we got some giggles.
Grant liked being in his carrier because he could see things,
but he was safely protected from the scary fish.
This is where we learned Grant is 100% a zoo boy.
He loved the raccoon exhibit and kept saying "meow!"
The live coral reef part of the aquarium was beautiful.
Having a thick wall between the sting ray touching
pool and himself helped a lot.
The boys were good at giving each other high fives.
Grant liked watching from a distance, B Jr practically
wanted to dive in. He's a total dare devil.
See, I wasn't kidding. The kid is fearless. I love it.
And now you get to feast your eyes on
my very favorite picture of the morning.
Two little pals chilling on a bench watching the fish swim by.
I. Die.
So very, very, very sweet.

Now, my only question is...when's our next date, boys?!
Oh, and moms.  I always forget about the moms.

  1. Fun day! Cant wait....2 1/2 more weeks!

  2. Oh, that child! He kills me. He was sound asleep before we even got out of the parking lot. I love how G kept saying "Meow" around the racoons, while B kept saying "doa" (dog).

  3. cuuuuuuute.

in grant's defense, I would have had the same reaction to a charging sting ray.
