Junk Gypsy Bedroom Jump Start

Ages ago I decided to give my bedroom a Junk Gypsy redo.

Well, it has FINALLY gotten underway!

Ok, so the room is just painted so far, but that's a start.

You can get a little back story on what my over all

Here's a sneak peek...

I was a bad blogger and didn't take any 

specific before pictures of my room.  

The only thing I could do is go through old pictures 

on my phone to try and find some.  

These are the only two I could find.

The walls were a boring shade of cream.

If you know me at all, you know I don't do cream colored walls.

BORING!

So, I took my inspiration fabric to the paint store...

...and matched the paint to the lighter aqua.

Then the paint sat on the shelf for a long long long long time.

It sat for so long I forgot what color I'd chosen.

I was worried I'd picked the darker color in a crazy moment.

But I didn't!!

Whew!

Being ever the helpful assistant, Luna took up perch on the controversial green chair.

Such a great little helper.

It seemed to take forever, but I couldn't be happier with the results.

Next, I plan on jazzing up that plain ol' down comforter, painting my hutch, painting a quote on the wall, and quite a few other tricks up my sleeve to give it the appropriate Junk Gypsy treatment.  

Baby steps, right?
