Ages ago I decided to give my bedroom a Junk Gypsy redo.
Well, it has FINALLY gotten underway!
Ok, so the room is just painted so far, but that's a start.

You can get a little back story on what my over all
plan is for the room here and here.

Here's a sneak peek...

I was a bad blogger and didn't take any
specific before pictures of my room.
The only thing I could do is go through old pictures
on my phone to try and find some.
These are the only two I could find.
The walls were a boring shade of cream.
If you know me at all, you know I don't do cream colored walls.
BORING!
So, I took my inspiration fabric to the paint store...
...and matched the paint to the lighter aqua.
Then the paint sat on the shelf for a long long long long time.
It sat for so long I forgot what color I'd chosen.
I was worried I'd picked the darker color in a crazy moment.
But I didn't!!
Whew!

Being ever the helpful assistant, Luna took up perch on the controversial green chair.
Such a great little helper.

It seemed to take forever, but I couldn't be happier with the results.

Next, I plan on jazzing up that plain ol' down comforter, painting my hutch, painting a quote on the wall, and quite a few other tricks up my sleeve to give it the appropriate Junk Gypsy treatment.
Baby steps, right?

This project was shared on some of these lovely blogs.

You know how some of the eCards we all love are funny, but they're even more hilarious when they hit a little too close to home?
Welcome to my world.

I don't want to toot my own horn, but this Crafty Home Improvement (Mis)Adventures original recipe has to be among one of my greatest creations.
Yes, a BLT Pizza Crisp.
They were to die for.
No joke.

I went to a friend's house for a Super Bowl party.
I wanted to try something new and original but I wasn't sure what to make.
Then it hit me.
I'd see a recipe on Pinterest for pizza crisps and I'd been craving California Pizza Kitchen's BLT pizza...why not combine the two?!
If you've never had their BLT pizza you're missing out.

Delicious!

Again, I get sidetracked.
Let's move on to my actual recipe.

Ingredients you'll need:
24 wonton wrappers
1 pkg bacon
1 small block extra sharp cheddar cheese
2 Roma tomatoes
1 bag shredded lettuce
mayo
Preheat oven to 375*.
Start by dicing the bacon and cooking it until crisp.
Finely dice tomatoes.  I removed the heart of them before dicing to keep them from being too watery/juicy.
Shred your cheese.
Line your baking pans with foil, spray LIGHTLY with cooking spray, lay out the wonton wrappers making sure they don't touch, and then spray LIGHTLY with spray again.
Top each wonton with a little cheese, some bacon pieces, and again with a little cheese.
Bake at 375* for 12-18 minutes.
Really, just keep an eye on them and pull them out when they're golden brown and crispy since each oven is different.
In a medium bowl, stir a spoon full of mayo with the shredded lettuce.  You don't want too much mayo so be sure to add a little at a time until the lettuce is coated.
Top each crisp with a little of the lettuce mix and little tomato.
And then enjoy this delicious appetizer!

These are so yummy and easy to make.
I'll definitely be making them again.
Imagine the variety of mini crisps you could make.

What treat did you make for the big game day?

Today marks my 25th confessional post.
I realized that and then wondered, what on earth do I have left to confess to all of you wonderful, beautiful, intelligent and downright sexy people who keep coming back to read my blog?!
(I'm not just trying to butter you up.
For reals.
You're all that and then some.
Okay, I'll stop.
For now.)

Today I'm confessing the following:

***** I bet you'd be surprised to know I can be quite shy.
In certain situations that is.
Most of the time I'm the same loud mouth you've grown to love here.

***** I need to do some serious house work this weekend but I have a super awesome sewing project I want to tackle.  I'm hoping I accomplish both.

***** Don't tell my cats, but I'm obsessed with puppy pictures.  I don't want a puppy.  I just want to look at pictures of sweet, cuddly, adorable puppies.
(Puppy porn if you will.)
corgiSuch a sweet face.
Look at those little faces!
I just want to snuggle them!

***** Though I confessed the puppy obsession, I'm still a cat lover.

***** The Steelers fan in me is rooting for the Ravens.
Shocking.  I know.  But just because we're bitter division rivals, doesn't mean I can't respect them as a strong team.  But I'll still totally be wearing my Steelers shirt so I don't feel too much like I'm jumping ship.

***** I've been besties with my bestie for 5 years now and just last week we found out we both know all the words to Otto Titsling from Beaches.  It's his new ringtone and makes me giggle every time.  Just goes to show you can still learn new things about people you adore.

***** I'm a button pusher to the nth degree. No joke.  If you like your pen in a certain place on your desk. I'm going to move it every time I walk by.  It's bad.  I'm sure you're completely shocked.

So, those are the only confessions I'm willing to share today.  I have many more I should confess, but I'll keep those to myself for now!

So, pop on over and visit Leslie at A Blonde Ambition.

Have a great weekend, y'all.
I know I will be!
