About Me

I have blue eyes, love reading, and long walks on the beach...oh...wait...wrong kind of "about me" type intro.  Not that all of that isn't true.  It is.

But I suppose you were looking for something a little more appropriate.  If you know me in daily life, you know I struggle with appropriateness!

Anyway, I have a history of great successes in home improvement, recipes and crafty projects, but I also have a history of very entertaining failures.  (See this blog post for a perfect example.)  As I get settled into my new rental house, I'll keep you abreast of the adventures (and misadventures) I'll be undertaking.  Things should range from new recipes found on Pinterest to party planning and entertaining to anything crafty, sprinkled with A LOT of random.

You may see an idea on Pinterest and think it's pretty.  I see an idea on Pinterest and see the parts, the process and ideas on how it can be done simpler. It's in my blood.  My grandmother wanted a color rotary phone back in the 50's, but they couldn't afford one, so she went about meticulously covering her black rotary phone in contact paper!  I'm dead serious.  I inherited that crazy/creative way of thinking.
